£22,000 per annum plus mileage

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Carer Recruitment and Engagement Officer to join our team at Fostering Ltd. 

About the Role

We are looking for a Carer Recruitment and Engagement Officer to help grow, engage and retain our family of foster carers. The focus of the role is to generate interest in fostering across the local community to help generate enquiries and will require coordination, engagement, and recruitment of carers across North West England.

You will act as an ambassador, helping to promote Fostering Ltd at events you have planned and organised and through the use of social media. You will be comfortable engaging with the public and existing foster carers and raising awareness of fostering within the community. A passion for developing, managing, and maintaining a strong social media presence is key to this role.

You will maintain contact with potential foster carers through the journey from enquiry to approval, supporting the screening, training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues. You will manage the database of potential carers, and keeping colleagues and management updated with relevant information and reports.

You will create and implement a carer retention programme to help us retain and engage our foster carers so we can continue to meet the needs of looked after children and young people.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous customer service, recruitment or marketing experience would be desirable. 
  • Ability to devise creative engagement strategies to reach people interested in becoming foster carers
  • A passion for growing our foster carer community
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in excel database and social media experience
  • Self-motivated and dynamic
  • Full driving licence
  • Access to a car
