Fostering Ltd is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Lancashire. Our team of experienced social workers cover the whole of Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool, Wigan, Salford and as far North as Cumbria. The agency is run by foster carers for foster carers, our social team has over 50 years experience of working in statutory, voluntary and independent sectors of Social Care.
The service aim is to work closely with families, foster carer/s and all other professionals involved in the care of children and young people to ensure that the highest quality of service is being offered.
Fostering Ltd offices are located in Fulwood, Preston close to all motorway links.
We believe that local children should be able to live with local families so we want to hear from you if you live anywhere in the North West of England including Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool, Wigan, Preston and as far North as Cumbria.
We are a small, yet highly experienced team who understand the needs of carers; our fostering director was a foster carer for over 15 years, caring for over 70 children, they also adopted 2 children, and one of our Social Workers previously fostered for 16 years.
Because of this insight, we are able to offer practical advice and support to our carers as well as regular supervision, 24-hour telephone support, regular training, support groups, and membership to organizations such as Fostering Network and FosterTalk.
We work with carers and other professionals to help all children achieve their potential and develop into happy, confident young people. We want every child placed with us to be healthy, safe, and have opportunities to make positive contributions to their community.
We want our service to be individual and celebrate diversity; our children come from a wide range of backgrounds so we think our carers should too. We want every looked after child to have a safe, caring, and supportive family home, where they are valued and made to feel ‘at home’. We offer many types of placements depending on the needs of the child including Short Term, Long Term, Respite, Sibling Group, Emergency, and Parent and Child.
We believe that children do better when professionals work in partnership with parents and the child’s wider family. When you become a foster carer, you become a part of a team that surrounds the child; we want our service to instill confidence in all those who are involved in the young person’s life, whatever the length of our involvement.
