JOB TITLE: Supervising Social Worker 

LOCATION:   Rawtenstall

DEPARTMENT:  Fostering

REPORT TO:  Registered Fostering Manager  


To provide and deliver professional support, development, and supervision to foster carers whilst promoting the safe care and development of the children and young people we support in placement in order for them to achieve their full potential in terms of their physical, social, emotional and educational needs.

To contribute to the growth and development of the service and actively participate in the recruitment, assessment and development of prospective carers.

To work in partnership with LAs to match children and young people with high quality placements where their needs can be met in a secure and nurturing environment. 


To support the agency to recruit, develop and support foster carers to provide high quality foster placements in line with government legislation, Regulations, and Standards. You will represent Fostering Ltds vision and values and will uphold its reputation whilst working in partnership with Local Authorities and fostering families to empower, support, and care for children and young people.

Social Worker Panel Member

Role: Social worker panel member

Location: Rawtenstall (currently virtual)

Payment per Panel to be discussed in interview

This opportunity is for committed and enthusiastic people to join our central list of Fostering Panel members. Panels play a vital role in overseeing the approval of prospective foster carers.

We are looking for someone who is a SWE registered Social Worker (must hold a social work qualification).

Fostering Ltd hold monthly Panel meetings on a weekday evening (currently virtual). Panel members are not asked to attend every meeting; the frequency of which is agreed between the panel member and the Panel Administrator, based on availability and agency need.

We are looking for social workers with experience in working with children and/or families, who would be able to commit to reading panel papers and attending panel meetings at pre-arranged times.
