Fostering Ltd is an Independent Fostering Agency based in Rawtenstall in Bury, Greater Manchester. We work with carers and other professionals to help all children achieve their potential and develop into happy, confident young people. We want every child placed with us to be healthy, safe, and have opportunities to make positive contributions to their community.

We are a small, yet highly experienced team who understand the needs of carers; our fostering director has been an approved foster carer for over 11 years, caring for over 70 children, and one of our Social Workers previously fostered for 16 years.

Here’s the answers to some of the most popular questions we are asked.

When you call us you will have a conversation with one of our Supervising Social Workers who will ask a few key questions which will help you and us to decide if fostering is the right career for you and if it is the right time to peruse this. This chat is a no obligation conversation for advice and information only. There will be pressure for you into making a decision.

We believe that children do better when professionals work in partnership with parents and the child’s wider family. When you become a foster carer, you become a part of a team that surrounds the child; we want our service to instill confidence in all those who are involved in the young person’s life, whatever the length of our involvement.

Fostering Ltd views our Foster Carers as professionals and as such, we provide a comprehensive training and support package. Fostering is a difficult and demanding career so this is reflected in the weekly allowance you will be given when you have a child in placement.

We have talked on our previous blogs about making new traditions to make children in care really feel like part of the family.
