Return visits or membership offers
Some attractions will have offers that let you visit again for free within a certain period. Memberships can also be a good option if you are frequent visitors somewhere as they can pay for themselves after two or three visits.
Sealife at Trafford Centre has a 2020 pass for just £20 for adults giving unlimited visits with a few exceptions such as bank holidays and half terms.
There are several Facebook groups who share free and low-cost activities for families. Search around your area to see what you can find. Frugal Family Adventures https://www.facebook.com/groups/1879162232350574/ shares offers from attractions from Cheshire and Beyond, including Manchester and Liverpool.
Look out for promotions on groceries
Some attractions such as the Merlin Group (Alton Towers, SeaLife Centres, Legoland and Tussauds) regularly offer promotions on everyday groceries such as cereals and detergent. Offers include buy one get one free and free child tickets.
Follow your favourite attractions on social media
One of the best ways to stay on top of good offers is to check out the website and social media pages of your favourite days out.
There are often sales on tickets, especially if bought in advance or at colder times of the year.
Check tickets and receipts
Always check your receipts as there are often discounts on future visits or rewards for filling in a survey about your visit.
Cinemas such as Odeon often have offers on the back of their tickets
