Offering a Safe Environment
One of our carers Phil says the most rewarding thing for him is being able to offer a safe environment and uses his own experiences to adapt the environment and make the young people feel comfortable.
Watching the Development
Yvonne feels that watching the young person develop is the most rewarding aspect of foster care. This can vary from things like swimming badges to developing social skills and getting along with other children.
Seeing Improvements
Anne says that she puts in the work, she is patient and perseveres and although sometimes she thinks her words are falling on deaf ears she notices that they are listening and reports back from school show just how far they have come.
Anne says this is the most rewarding part of being a Foster Carer.
What do you find most rewarding about foster care, we’d love to hear from you.
